If treadmills bore you, the Hudson Valley has better options. Here's how aerial, pole and hoop dance classes in Chester, NY build real strength without a single machine.
Plenty of people in the Hudson Valley keep paying for a gym membership they dread using. If that's you, the problem probably isn't discipline — it's that nothing about the room asks you to be curious. Here's what training in the air does differently, and what it looks like week to week in Chester, NY.
You track progress by skills, not numbers
Instead of adding five pounds to a bar, you get your first climb, your first invert, your first clean drop. Strength arrives as a side effect of chasing something you actually want to do — which is why students who never stuck with a gym show up three nights a week here.
Strength, flexibility and coordination in one hour
Aerial work is loaded grip, shoulder and core training with your whole bodyweight. Pole adds rotational power and dance coordination. Hoop dance and flexibility classes fill in mobility and flow. Together they cover far more of the body than an isolated machine circuit.
Small classes, real coaching
We're a family-owned studio — Terra, Eric and Victoria — and we cap class sizes so every student gets hands-on spotting and correction. Nobody gets lost at the back of the room.
What's on each week
- Pole — Beginner Pole Dance, Level 1, Level 2 and Flow & Glow fluidity, most weeknights.
- Aerial — split silks, hammock silks, aerial sling and lyra hoop across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
- Hoop dance and flexibility — Thursday evening hoop flow plus flexibility training to keep everything moving.
- Open Studio — practise what you learned, several days a week including mornings.
Kids can train too
Our kids and teens aerial classes run on the same apparatus, scaled and supervised, which is why a lot of Hudson Valley parents end up in an adult class on the night their kid flies.
Start where you are
No experience, no flexibility and no dance background required — that describes almost every student on their first night. Pick a time that fits your week and we'll take it from there.
